Remote Litigation Paralegal

Paralegal Position

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a high-volume portfolio of commercial accounts receivable matters in Dallas, Texas. This long-term contract position will partner closely with outside counsel to advance files from pre-suit review through litigation activity, resolution discussions, and payment arrangements. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, legal drafting ability, and the judgment to manage multiple active matters with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a structured tracking system for commercial receivable matters, ensuring each file reflects status, deadlines, and required next steps.
• Collect and organize supporting records such as agreements, billing documents, account statements, and prior communications to prepare matters for legal action.
• Draft demand correspondence and other case-related documents using approved formats for attorney review and revision.
• Prepare litigation materials, including petitions, discovery requests, settlement documentation, and payment-plan paperwork, for filing readiness.
• Coordinate electronic filing, service of process, incoming responses, and court-related dates to keep matters moving efficiently.
• Monitor open files proactively, provide clear updates on case progress, and flag issues requiring attorney attention.
• Work with accounting stakeholders to confirm receivable balances and align documentation supporting each claim.
• Assist with the implementation and follow-through of negotiated settlements and structured repayment arrangements.
