Role Description

The Attorney At Law role is a full-time, in-person position based in Florham Park, NJ, with some flexibility for work from home. The attorney will handle a mix of litigation and counseling matters related to real estate, land use, redevelopment, zoning, eminent domain, business law, and appellate practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and transactional documents; conducting legal research;

and preparing memoranda and opinions for clients and internal use. The role involves appearing in court and before administrative or municipal bodies, negotiating agreements and settlements, and providing clear, practical legal advice to clients. The attorney will collaborate with partners and colleagues, manage case timelines and deadlines, and participate in client development and firm initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience in real estate, business, and appellate matters.
  • Knowledge of Tax Appeals and real estate taxation and valuation.
  • Proven ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, including risk assessment and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent Research skills, including case law, statutes, regulations, and legislative history, with precise application to complex fact patterns.
  • Effective Negotiation skills for settlements, agreements, and client advocacy in adversarial and collaborative settings.
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey;
    New York admission is preferred or willingness to obtain admission.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, with strong academic performance.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including drafting briefs and presenting arguments in court.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a small-firm environment.
  • Prior litigation experience, judicial clerkship, or experience in real estate, land use, or eminent domain is highly beneficial.
