  • Advise clients regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, reasonable accommodations, leave protections, wage-and-hour violations, whistle blower claims, and related workplace issues.
  • Conduct prospective-client consultations, evaluate potential claims, and assist with client engagement and case strategy.
  • Prepare demand letters, administrative complaints, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, settlement submissions, and other legal filings.
  • Represent clients before the EEOC, NYSDHR, NYC Commission on Human Rights, and other administrative agencies.
  • Litigate matters in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts, as applicable.

  • Maintain strong, responsive, and professional relationships with clients throughout the representation.
  • Proactively manage deadlines, calendars, assignments, and case progression.
  • Maintain complete and accurate case records, communications, activities, and time entries in Clio.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff while independently taking ownership of assigned matters.
  • Remain reasonably accessible during regular business hours and attend in-person proceedings, depositions, consultations, and firm meetings when required.
Qualifications
  • Admission to the New York Bar and good standing required.
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is strongly preferred.
  • At least five years of relevant employment-litigation or comparable civil-litigation experience preferred.
  • Meaningful experience handling employment-discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful-termination, wage-and-hour, or civil-rights matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an active caseload independently and move matters efficiently toward resolution.
  • Experience practicing before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, writing, and oral-advocacy skills.
  • Deposition, mediation, motion-practice, and trial-preparation experience.
  • Trial experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent judgment, organization, deadline management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to responsive, client-centered representation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Plaintiff-side employment experience is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary: $110,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, admissions, and demonstrated ability to manage matters independently.
  • Additional performance-based compensation calculated on attorneys' fees recovered, in accordance with the firm's attorney incentive policy.
  • Health-insurance benefits.
  • Eligibility to participate in the firm's 401(k) plan.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Professional-liability coverage.
  • Reimbursement of approved bar-admission fees and employment-related professional expenses.
