Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Consumer Protection Attorney for their Washington, D.C. office. This role involves joining a dynamic team focused on high-impact cases that protect consumers from unfair financial practices. The position offers a hybrid work environment with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 times per week.
Duties- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for litigation.
- Participate in all phases of discovery, including document review and depositions.
- Engage in class certification discovery and briefing.
- Collaborate with experts and conduct trials.
- Identify and investigate new litigation opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Washington, D.C. or ability to waive in promptly.
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on litigation.
- Experience with class action litigation is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of consumer protection laws is preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
