Associate​/Of Counsel Attorney - Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an accomplished senior attorney with extensive creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and commercial lending experience to join their practice in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will independently manage sophisticated transactions and matters, with a preference for commercial lending experience. This role offers hybrid flexibility, with the possibility of mostly remote work for well-qualified candidates.

• Lead workout negotiations, restructurings, foreclosures, and asset dispositions.
• Represent secured lenders and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Serve as counsel in complex commercial lending transactions.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on loan documentation and collateral arrangements.
• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals on legal strategy and case management.
• Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive client solutions.

• 6+ years of relevant creditors' rights, bankruptcy, and commercial lending experience.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the New York Bar.

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Eligible for bonus up to 50% of base salary.
