We have a billable target, but we care far more about quality work and long-term development than about clock-watching.

Partners here see it as their job to feed associates work and train them properly, not throw them in the deep end.

• Real mentorship. We've watched the market produce a generation of associates who were never properly trained during remote-work years. We do it differently — you'll learn directly from senior partners who are among the most respected in their fields.
• Reasonable, quality-focused billables (target around 1,800), applied sensibly by team rather than rigidly across the board.
• Hybrid flexibility. Most teams are in the office more than not because that's where mentorship happens, but we're realistic about life — pick up your kids, make the soccer game, handle what you need to. As long as your team knows how to reach you, we trust you.
• A meaningful bonus structure: tiered productivity bonuses, origination bonuses on business you bring in, and discretionary bonuses that recognize pro bono work, big trials, and exceptional contributions. On our busiest teams, these can be substantial.
• A real path to partnership for those who want it.

About the Role:

This is a combined environmental, land use, and real estate role — three practices that work closely together here. You'll support a partner who is a genuine standout and one of the most well-regarded people at the firm, with additional exposure to our redevelopment and land use work. There's a tremendous amount to learn in this seat.

• Handle environmental, land use, and redevelopment matters, often intersecting with real estate
• Work on approvals, permitting, and regulatory matters

Support developer and corporate clients on real-world, business-driven projects

• An attorney who can hold their own and work independently when needed — you'll sometimes run with things on your own, but support is always a phone call away
• A pragmatic, business-minded approach to environmental work (this is developer- and industry-side practice, not advocacy work)
• We're also open to a strong real estate attorney looking to build environmental and land use expertise
