Legal Admin, This is an office-based role located on-site at our West Fargo corporate headquarters, 728 East Beaton Drive, Suite 101. Remote based candidates will not be considered.
Provides legal and administrative support by assisting with contract review, drafting, legal research, document preparation, and contract administration. This position works closely with the sales team to ensure contracts are accurate, complete, organized, and aligned with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze contracts, agreements, amendments, and other legal documents to identify key terms, obligations, risks, inconsistencies, and items requiring further review.
- Draft, revise, and edit contracts, correspondence, documents, policies, notices, and other business documents.
- Assist with the preparation and negotiation of routine agreements and contract revisions.
- Track contracts through the review, approval, signature, and renewal processes.
- Maintain organized and accurate contract files and records.
- Monitor contract expiration dates, renewal requirements, and other important deadlines.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and summarize findings for review by leaders and/or legal counsel.
- Assist with due diligence, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Prepare summaries of contracts and identify key provisions, including term, termination, payment, confidentiality, indemnification, insurance, liability, and other significant requirements.
- Assist in gathering information and documentation for contract disputes, and other business needs.
- Prepare correspondence and other written communications related to contractual matters.
- Assist outside counsel by gathering records, organizing documents, and coordinating requested information.
- Support the development and maintenance of contract templates, forms, and standard legal documents.
- Maintain knowledge of company policies, contract requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements relevant to assigned responsibilities.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and interpreting contracts and legal documents.
- Exceptional legal and professional writing and editing skills.
- Ability to identify important contract provisions and recognize issues that may require additional review.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication, time management, critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
