Position Summary

The Procurement Manager will build and lead a strategic procurement function across a growing portfolio of complex, mission‑critical construction projects.

Reporting to senior operational leadership, this role oversees the acquisition of major equipment and materials across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with construction schedules, commercial objectives, and operational priorities.

This position is well‑suited for an experienced procurement leader with a strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain planning, and a demonstrated ability to establish scalable procurement processes in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute a portfolio‑wide procurement strategy for major equipment and material categories (e.g., power, cooling, electrical systems)
  • Lead sourcing, competitive bidding, and negotiation efforts for large‑scale equipment and material packages
  • Establish procurement plans aligned with business objectives, construction timelines, and delivery milestones
Vendor Management & Commercial Oversight
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Implement and manage a vendor performance framework tracking cost, quality, service, and delivery reliability
  • Negotiate favorable commercial terms while ensuring long‑term supplier continuity and partnership stability
Cross‑Functional Planning & Coordination
  • Partner with engineering, construction, and project leadership to align procurement activities with project requirements
  • Support planning and execution of long‑lead materials and critical equipment to reduce schedule risk
  • Coordinate across stakeholders to identify priorities, constraints, and opportunities for improved procurement execution
Supply Chain Risk & Process Improvement
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, particularly for critical and long‑lead items
  • Design and implement structured, scalable procurement processes and controls
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement workflows, vendor accountability, and material planning
Requirements (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of procurement and materials management experience within large‑scale industrial, infrastructure, or construction environments
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, strategic sourcing, and vendor management practices
  • Proven ability to lead complex procurement efforts across multiple stakeholders and concurrent projects
Preferred
  • Experience managing supply chain risk for long‑lead equipment (e.g., switch gear, cooling systems, specialized infrastructure components)
  • Experience negotiating contracts related to advanced technology, automation, or robotics solutions
  • Track record of building or scaling procurement functions within high‑growth or evolving environments
  • Familiarity with procurement planning for mission‑critical construction programs
Work Environment

This role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in or near the Dallas–Fort Worth area to support periodic in‑person collaboration. Travel requirements will vary based on project and operational needs.

The position involves regular interaction with executive leadership, engineering and construction teams, vendors, and cross‑functional stakeholders. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment characterized by scale, complexity, and evolving priorities.
