Job Description
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Supply Chain Manager. The candidate selected for this position will work as a member of a Project Team on site at one of our projects nationally. This role primarily operates in construction environments supporting the execution of construction activities. It is a heavy‑travel role working on project sites throughout the United States.
ThisOpportunity
The purpose of the Supply Chain Manager is to directly supervise and manage material storage site(s) activity on a WSP project where SCM and/or Material Management services are provided. The role will be accountable for operations at one (1) or multiple sites, ensuring the 3C’s (Care, Custody, and Control) are maintained over safeguarded material. Additionally, the role will conduct project material‑related analysis to provide insights and support the needs of the Project.
Employees in this role will primarily work at the project construction sites.
- Supply Chain Management
- Performs supply chain and logistics functions, such as material/services procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
- Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers.
- Inventory Control
- Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
- Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods).
- Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.
- Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
- Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.
- Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products.
- Transportation Management
- Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization’s products.
- Analytics
- Conducts detailed analysis of inventory in comparison to project needs (site, schedule).
- Physical Components of the Role
- Must be able to stand for multiple hours on a rocked surface.
- Must be able to walk over 10,000 steps a day on a rocked surface.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to spot equipment on the yard during operations, traveling to/from storage locations, and loading of trucks with equipment.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in a management role, managing and fostering the development of personnel.
- 3-5 years of quantifiable experience in Project Management.
- 3-5 years of quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices.
- General knowledge of the power delivery industry.
- Extremely proficient in the Office 365 suite of software, with an emphasis on Excel; advanced Excel knowledge beneficial.
- Experience collaborating on projects as a value‑added member.
- Role will be located at the Project Site (Nationwide); onsite work (office, field) with occasional remote work based on project needs. Travel required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Essential project management certification required (e.g., PMP, CAP‑M).
