Buyer (*Hybrid - on site

Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services from domestic and international vendors in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. You will execute purchase requisitions and purchase orders, maintain sources of supplies, expedite materials as needed, and maintain accurate general data for vendors.

• Purchase essential manufacturing, packaging supplies and spare parts inventory via MRP
• Identify ways to reduce cost either in product or services
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of purchase orders; pricing, dates, confirmations in SAP
• Track and measure on-time deliveries by managing Zeta orders for the SWP products
• Prepare to share purchasing SWP project products
• Follow up with vendors where order confirmations are missing
• Review delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
• Work with vendors to expedite deliveries as needed
• Resolve routine purchasing issues with vendors and accounts payable
• Assist in maintaining material master data for MRP (e.g., safety stock, purchase quantity, info records)
• Facilitate vendor returns when applicable
• Assist in maintaining preferred supplier records—hard copy and electronic (contacts, contracts, quality, diversity etc.)
• Provide back-up support for routine items in the absence of Purchasing Management

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of general purchasing experience in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with a dynamic ERP/MRP system such as SAP or JD Edwards
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
