The Senior Domestic Specialist drives high-level operational performance, risk mitigation and customer satisfaction by managing complex domestic freight shipments, resolving escalations, and improving execution processes. This role directly contributes to service reliability, cost control, and operational scalability while serving as a key resource for issue resolution and team support while ensuring high-quality execution and operational consistency.
Duties & Responsibilities- Serve as the escalation point for high-priority shipments
- Manage customer expectations during disruptions
- Manage complex shipments (multi-stop, high-value, time-sensitive)
- Ensure milestone accuracy and execution quality
- Lead resolution of service failures
- Develop recovery plans for critical shipments
- Coordinate across internal teams and leadership
- Mentor junior coordinators
- Ensure accuracy of complex shipment data
- Resolve billing discrepancies proactively
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintain high performance on complex shipments
- Reduce repeat service failures
- Achieve >99% accuracy on complex loads
- Demonstrate strong escalation resolution capability
- Improve team performance through mentorship
- Implement practical process improvements
- Reduce leadership involvement in routine escalations

Required Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years logistics experience
- Experience managing complex freight shipments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Freight brokerage experience
- Compliance exposure
- Spanish language proficiency (verbal and written)
This position operates in a professional office environment (and/or remotely from a home office) with a quiet to moderate noise level and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such computers, photocopying machines and storage/filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role, however, lifting items under 25 pounds as well as the ability to bend, stand and walk short distances may be required.
