Regional Distribution Manager

A national purchasing and supply chain management organization is seeking a Regional Distribution Manager to oversee distributor relationships, supply chain performance, and operational support across an assigned territory. Serving as the primary liaison between distribution partners, field operations, and internal teams, this role is responsible for ensuring product availability, operational excellence, and exceptional service.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, suppliers, field operations, and internal departments.
• Manage distributor service levels and performance against established standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor supply chain activity, proactively identify issues, and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Conduct business reviews with distribution partners and communicate performance updates to leadership and regional advisory groups.
• Support promotional programs and coordinate communication across internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with sourcing, negotiation, and implementation of distribution services.
• Manage distributor transitions, service disruptions, product recalls, and recovery activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers and distributors to address supply concerns.
• Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
• Conduct regular regional meetings and on-site visits to gather feedback, share updates, and strengthen business partnerships.
• Respond to operational issues and requests while ensuring timely resolution.
• Represent the organization at regional meetings and industry events as needed.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region and work outside normal business hours as business needs require.
• Experience in food service distribution management, purchasing, sales, and/or operations is a plus, but not required.
