Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) presents itself:
The MP department is responsible for an annual purchasing volume in the double-digit billion range and ensures the quality of the corresponding components. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials for the worldwide production facilities of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans are provided. Locations in Germany, Hungary, South Africa, China, India, Mexico, and Argentina ensure proximity to production.

New challenges particularly exist in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity, and alternative drives.

The Center MP/X presents itself: MP/X is responsible for the module purchase of exterior parts, for the project management of van series, and for the purchase part quality of exterior parts. In the module purchase, we conduct benchmark analyses of the supplier market as part of tenders, conduct contract negotiations, and are responsible for global supplier selection and thus for the development of worldwide sourcing strategies.

These challenges come to you, among others:

• Participation in the procurement in the supplier management process
• Participation in the procurement in preparations for negotiations with suppliers
• Designing cross-functional cooperation with development, cost planning, quality assurance, logistics, controlling, and production sites
• Participation in the design of material group and supplier strategies of the purchasing team
• Participation in demanding projects
• Development and elaboration of methods, procedures, and standards
• Creation of request documents, offer compilations, and decision documents in the context of new assignments as well as the building and comparison of various business cases based on forecasted quantities
• Organization of workshops as well as preparation and follow-up of negotiations

The activity can start in August or September 2026. Hybrid working with partial home office and partial on-site is possible.

• Degree in business administration or technical field or a comparable course of study
• Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
• Secure handling of MS-Office
• Commitment and team capability
• Analytical thinking and strategic working method
• Communicative skills and assertiveness
