Fully Remote (U.S. Only). This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in‑office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on‑site requirements or schedule expectations as necessary.

Position Overview

Supports sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods and services to fuel our operational excellence. The Procurement Buyer is responsible for collaborating with Procurement stakeholders and suppliers to support P2P transactions to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness. This role also involves supporting and maintaining robust purchase order systems, cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting, addressing, and resolving any unexpected issues that may arise, and supporting internal and external audit requests when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on purchase requisition creation to stakeholders unfamiliar with Coupa or the procure to pay process.
  • Verify purchase requisitions for accuracy, completion, required approvals, and contract compliance.
  • Review requisitions and determine if requests should be reassigned to the Category Team for sourcing initiatives, based on established criteria.
  • Convert requisitions to purchase orders for high volume, lower dollar requests for key categories.
  • Maintain purchasing compliance through maximizing the use of established Procurement policies, ensuring products and services are obtained at competitive and agreed upon rates.
  • Address inquiries on missing items/order status of products from internal customers.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for information and guidance regarding S2P process, policy, and procedures.
  • Interact with business owners and third‑party suppliers to identify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Execute tactical sourcing events (i.e., spot buy, low‑spend RFQ/RFP, etc.) when necessary.
  • Provide suppliers with valid requested delivery dates and support order expediting on behalf of stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers and internal departments to resolve potential disruptions promptly and ensure a continuous and secure supply of goods and services.
  • Management of Procurement’s list of unsolicited suppliers.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for supplier information and guidance.
  • Communicate timelines and constraints accurately to all involved in the purchasing and supply chain process.
  • Maintain the highest ethics and standards in conducting procurement functions.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders in an ERP system;
    Coupa experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities to resolve supplier‑related issues.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods:
    The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7‑8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems:
    The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
