Job Summary
The Aerospace Sourcing Commodity Specialist III manages pricing, sourcing, part setup, and all data aspects for an assigned commodity. They complete RFQ and implementation tasks, liaison with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and lead‑times, and drive cost‑savings, competitive bids, and strategic sourcing initiatives. The role may be based in Atlanta, GA;
Los Angeles, CA;
Oak Creek, WI;
Pittsburgh, PA;
Seattle, WA; or Canada. The position reports to the Aerospace Procurement Sourcing Manager and follows a hybrid schedule:
Monday‑Thursday in the office, Friday optional remote work.
- Work with project leads to complete implementation and RFQ sourcing activities on time and accurately.
- Manage relationships with commodity suppliers, including competitive bids, negotiations, improvements, and one‑off sourcing requests.
- Maintain commodity pricing tables in the ERP system.
- Source materials for aerospace ASC/CMS and support the CMS platform with commodity‑specific requirements.
- Lead annual cost‑savings initiatives aligned with plant, group, and corporate metrics.
- Process new part requests and manage part master data for the commodity within HMM.
- Select suppliers that meet customer requirements and ensure a secure supply chain.
- Execute strategic sourcing decisions within the commodity.
- Interface with suppliers in the country/region of activity and the global group.
- Develop alternate sources to mitigate supply‑chain disruptions.
- Use software tools to conduct competitive bids.
- Participate in additional corporate projects and teams as needed.
- 2+ years of direct procurement, supply‑chain, or sourcing experience in a large corporate setting.
- U.S. citizenship, Green Card holder, or eligible immigrant status.
- Advanced Excel and data‑analytics skills.
- Experience with supply‑chain management software (QAD, Oracle, ePro, etc.).
- Strong project‑management and communication skills.
- Understanding of global importing and exporting material requirements.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of IT tools such as Smartsheet, Jaegger, SAP, Power BI, SSP, Qstrat, MS Office, HMM UX, SharePoint, and intranet platforms is a plus.
- Experience in chemicals or aerospace sourcing is a plus.
We provide a hybrid model with on‑site work Monday‑Thursday and optional remote work on Fridays. Scheduling may vary by location.
