Job Description

Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Opportunities

CoHort 26.3 (September 8th, 2026 – November 19, 2026) for the Supply Chain Solutions division.

Only available to participants enrolled in the Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program offered through a Military Branch. Non‑enrolled applicants should view other Ryder careers online.

The 12‑week fellowship provides hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day operations within our Construction Project Management team that oversees planning, budgeting, and standards implementation.

Summary

Participate in managing construction projects for Ryder, including planning, budgeting, permitting, and project closeouts.

Essential Functions
  • Manage various projects of commercial buildings, industrial plants, and warehouses – including budgeting, buyout, scheduling, permitting, construction coordination, and project closeouts.
  • Planning and cost management: responsible for job cost reporting, procurement of labor, materials, and equipment; review documents, prepare bid packages, conduct scope reviews, award contracts, issue change orders, and manage materials delivery schedules; review change orders and payment requests; prepare construction estimates; maintain and submit project budgets weekly; deliver projects on or under budget; lead the project team through controlled processes.
  • Time management: create project timelines and schedules; conduct regular meetings with contractors and stakeholders; deliver projects on time.
  • Quality management: maintain Ryder facility standards across all construction projects; ensure documentation is complete and project files are archived.
  • Identify elements of design or construction that may lead to disputes or claims.

Qualifications
  • Transitioning service member fellows must be within 180 days of military transition at the start of the 12‑week program.
  • Currently participating in the DoD Skillbridge program through the Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship.
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in military or supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of managing and leading direct reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Business, or Finance (preferred).

Compensation Information

The compensation offered is influenced by factors such as relevant experience, education, location, market data, and internal equity. The position may also be eligible for annual bonuses, commissions, and long‑term incentive plans.

Pay Type

Salaried

Pay Range

Minimum: $70,000.00

Maximum: $90,000.00
