Job Description
Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Opportunity (12‑week program) in the Supply Chain Solutions division for CoHort 26.3 (September 8 – November 19, 2026). This role is only available to individuals enrolled in the Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship Program for active military participants through a military branch, and must be within 180 days of transition from military service at the time the program begins.
SummaryDuring the 12‑week fellowship, you will gain hand‑on experience with day‑to‑day operations within our Construction Project Management team, overseeing management of construction projects for Ryder—including planning processes, budgets and standards implementation.
Essential Functions- Manage projects for commercial buildings, industrial buildings and warehouses, including budgeting, buyout, scheduling, permitting, construction coordination and project closeouts.
- Planning and cost management: report job costs, procure labor, materials and equipment, review construction documents, prepare bid packages, conduct scope reviews, award contracts, issue change orders and materials delivery schedules, review proposed change orders, approve or deny, review payment requests, prepare estimates for RCEs, maintain and submit project budgets weekly, deliver projects on or under budget, lead the project team with project controls.
- Time management: create timelines and schedules, conduct scheduled meetings with contractors and project team, deliver projects on time.
- Quality management: maintain Ryder Facility standards, ensure documentation completeness, archive project files.
- Identify design and construction elements likely to raise disputes and claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Currently participating in the DoD Skillbridge program through Hiring Our Heroes Fellowship.
- Three (3) years or more relevant experience in military or supply‑chain, logistics, warehouse or industry‑related field preferred.
- Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business or Finance preferred.
Salary (Salaried) with an annual range of $70,000.00 – $90,000.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan depending on level and type.
