Parts Planning Analyst

About the Role

Gathers and analyzes data from various systems to forecast trends and keep inventory for Quick Response Locations, Regional Parts Centers, third-party service providers, and service technicians. Generates and compiles reports, deploys inventory to improve supply chain delivery times and fill ratios, and updates planning parameters. Presents findings to relevant departments and creates internal or external purchase orders as needed.

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction when supporting field service, vendors, suppliers, and customers using system platforms.
• Analyze inventory levels, aging and turns, identify order strategies, supply routes, problem areas and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare, deliver and analyze reports to maximize efficiencies of existing systems and strategies, continually improving methods to eliminate potential trouble areas for Quick Response Locations, Regional Parts Centers, or technicians.
• Interface with vendors/suppliers to improve Canon's supply chain.
• Purchase from vendors/suppliers based on projects, reporting, or systems for assigned locations to meet departmental goals and fill ratio targets.
• Monitor and analyze inventory reports or planning systems to maintain proper reorder points and meet inventory level and fill ratio targets.
• Create trend analysis reports, provide inventory stocking recommendations for Field Service Technicians, and set up meetings to review reports with service.
• Confirm invoices, bills and charges relative to goods shipment and resolve discrepancies.
• Work with Product Support on launches, recalls, alternate sourcing and unexpected demand.
• Coordinate items flow from source to within the network, modifying as needed.
• Analyze QRL inventory position based on MIF, urgency and parts cost.
• Document suggested procedure/systematic improvements to increase team productivity and efficiencies for manager review.
• Provide direct support to service, taking phone calls quickly using the monitored phone system as requested by manager.
• Monitor, review and respond to emails from field service, vendors, suppliers and other departments promptly.
• Perform responsibilities of a Parts Support Representative, Mission Critical Parts Expeditor, as directed by manager.
• Provide training to Parts Support Representatives, Mission Critical Parts Coordinators or Parts Planning Analysts.
• Complete all tasks, projects and functions assigned by manager.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Minimal travel as requested to support business goals and objectives (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required).
• Anticipated base salary range: $54,460 – $81,550 annually.

Hybrid – Full time schedule requiring in‑office presence three days a week with option to work from home the remaining days, unless a business need requires additional in‑office attendance.
