Sr Manager, Supply Chain Management, Material Program Manager (MPM)
Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX) invites experienced professionals to lead and execute material program strategies for the Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) Program Area within our Advanced Products & Systems (APS) portfolio. This U.S.
-based, onsite position requires U.S. citizenship and a current Secret-level DoD security clearance.
Apply advanced knowledge of subcontract management, material requirements planning (MRP), project management, and program startup/closeout processes to support large international franchise opportunities and transition from low‑rate initial design to full‑rate production phases.
What You Will Do- Apply industry practices and standards related to MRP planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, and other next‑generation ERP systems.
- Collaborate with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution.
- Manage Master Data, MRP scheduling, and material sales forecasting.
- Develop and execute material strategies that support customer requirements and meet program objectives.
- Generate Supplier Request for Proposals and Quotes (RFPs/RFQs).
- Handle financial management including Earned Value, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, and material sales forecasts; own the supplier management process covering risk, performance metrics, EXIM, make‑buy strategy, and collaborative agreements; communicate customer flow‑through requirements (FAR 12, FAR 15, DFAR, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty).
- Maintain the integrity of the MRP environment and align program schedules within that environment.
- Balance supply and demand to create executable schedules.
- Resolve issues and conflicts within and between organizations, and with suppliers.
- Generate and manage Estimate At Completion (EAC) and risk & opportunity analyses.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a University degree or equivalent experience, or minimum 7 years of experience with an advanced degree in a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret‑level security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Deep understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) or Transition to Production (T2P) activities.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate end‑to‑end planning and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.
- Proficiency with advanced supply‑chain planning tools (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, filters, formulas, macros).
- Ability to drive systemic change to ensure MRP integrity for on‑time deliveries.
- Team leadership and management experience.
- Experience with international suppliers and export/import (EX/IM) policies.
- Competitive compensation: salary range $145,600 – $276,800 USD.
