OverviewAt Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we drive innovation and uphold the highest standards of business ethics. The Material Cost Estimating (MCE) team within RMS Supply Chain seeks a team lead who will oversee cost estimation for Sikorsky’s Army and Air Force Helicopter Lines of Business. This role focuses on the Army, Air Force, Maritime and Mission Systems, and S-70i market segments, including US Coast Guard development programs.
The team lead will provide direction to junior analysts and manage the development of material estimates for FAR/DFARS compliant proposals, cost volumes, and Direct Commercial Sale proposals.
- Develop, review, analyze, and approve material estimates for government proposals.
- Support FAR/DFARS compliant proposals, cost volumes, and Direct Commercial Sale proposals using SAP/LMP2P tools.
- Define and implement proposal strategies and standardize processes.
- Recruit and mentor junior analysts within the MCE organization and Supply Chain Business Support team.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing and developing estimates or proposals, certifying cost elements and compliance with RFP and government regulations.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Strong Excel expertise and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities; capable of representing Supply Chain across functions and levels of management.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement in material cost takeout strategies, reporting, and metrics.
- Previous leadership experience (desired).
- Experience developing cost volumes in response to government proposal requirements.
- Strong knowledge of material cost estimating processes.
