Job Summary
This position will act as distribution department liaison with customers regarding final delivery of shipments and support shipping operations by preparing for outbound shipment activities. Standard hours Monday‑Friday 7:30‑4:00 pm; occasional overtime may be required. No travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities- Complete job‑site confirmation calls to customers daily, at least 48 hours prior to ship date, verifying all pertinent customer details and delivery requirements.
- Create all deliveries in SAP from orders and document all special handling requirements.
- Plan international (ocean) and parcel shipments in SAP and coordinate execution.
- Respond to Order Management requests to adjust orders/deliveries and communicate any delivery changes to the transportation team immediately and update the system.
- Communicate trailer availability to Transportation Team daily.
- Communicate with local LTL terminals daily regarding equipment needed for pick‑up.
- Print all domestic and international order pick‑lists and shipment paperwork.
- Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) to check‑in drivers upon arrival.
- Appoint (in TMS) and process CPU and CRD shipments in SAP.
- Maintain dock schedule accuracy (loading hours/capacity) in TMS.
- Obtain and process product orders accurately and on time.
- Facilitate accurate inventory by ensuring adherence to local guidelines for shipments and inventory of finished goods, packaging, and labels.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
- Workplace safety practices and procedures when working on the warehouse floor.
- Identification, recognition, and reporting of safety hazards.
- Company brand and private‑label product knowledge, including CCW and associated special product requirements.
- Working knowledge of SAP transactions related to warehouse and inventory activities.
Skills
- Reading and interpreting cycle‑count sheets, pick lists, packing lists, bills of lading, inbound schedules, labels, product codes, and tags.
- Basic math skills.
- Written communication sufficient to document and record cycle counts and inventory data.
- Verbal communication to interact effectively with department personnel and cross‑functional teams.
- Computer proficiency using SAP, SFIS, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem‑solving skills to identify issues and support resolution in day‑to‑day operations.
- Ability to utilize SAP as a product research and inventory management tool.
Abilities
- Complete hazardous‑materials certifications (IATA, IMDG, 49 CFR).
- Participate in safety programs, departmental initiatives, and work groups.
- Perform job duties accurately while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- Three (3) years of in‑house production, shipping, or material handling experience.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of administrative experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse environment.
- Normal office environment with exposure to manufacturing environment.
- Potential exposure to drafty work area, forklift traffic, and chemical exposure.
- Work hours Monday‑Friday (8 am–5 pm) with flexibility for touch points with all four operating shifts.
- Comply with all company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and remote work standards.
Occasional: lifting or carrying 1‑10 lbs, pushing or pulling 1‑40 lbs.
Frequent: lifting or carrying 11‑20 lbs, pushing or pulling 41‑50 lbs, bending or stooping, reaching above shoulder level.
Continuous: driving automatic equipment; operating machinery or power tools; climbing ladders or stairs; walking; standing; sitting; working in extreme temperatures; repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers.
Vision, hearing, dexterity, hand‑eye coordination are essential.
- Eye and hearing protection required on the production floor.
- Safety‑toe shoes (steel/composite).
- Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.
