Client: Major Pharmaceutical Client

Duration: 5+ Months Contract

Location: Cambridge, MA 02142

Pay Rate: $32.00-$40.00 per hour on W2

Schedule: Hybrid, onsite (Cambridge, MA) Tuesdays and Wednesdays and as required

Description
  • The Contracts Coordinator is responsible for purchase order creation in the company's procurement systems for Global Medical. This will be achieved by applying company processes, systems, and SOPs; processing purchase order requests and following them through to completion in the company's system(s); ensuring appropriate coding is applied; and working with business owners and legal to resolve contracting issues.
Accountabilities
  • Process contract requests to generate purchase orders (POs) following defined procedures.
  • Follow PO requests from initiation to PO generation, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Monitor PO generation status, including timely follow‑up with all parties to mitigate delays.
  • Perform numeric verification of contract values against PO values.
  • Maintain knowledge of purchasing systems.
  • Understand and apply financial account codes to PO requests.
  • Engage with business owners and all stakeholders involved in the process.
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Education, Behavioral Competencies and Skills
  • High school diploma with 5+ years of business experience (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience with contracts, purchasing processes, and procure‑to‑pay systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track activities and follow through to completion.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and results‑oriented mindset.
  • Self‑motivated.
  • Flexibility combined with tenacity to complete assigned tasks with high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication skills with proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Team‑focused personality with strong collaboration abilities, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new processes and systems.
  • Ability to identify issues, anticipate risks, and solve problems.
  • Strong issue identification and independent resolution skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and diplomacy to effectively manage change and differing opinions.
