Supply Chain Manager (Electro-Mechanical / New Product Introduction (NPI))
Brooks is a leading provider of automation solutions with over 40 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. The Supply Chain Manager will serve as the lead supply chain representative for new product development within the Semiconductor Atmospheric Automation Product Development Team.
What You’ll Do- Primary ownership of new product material costs, reporting cost drivers and changes.
- Partner with Engineering, Commodity Managers, and Suppliers to drive optimal material plans aligned with commodity strategies and lowest total acquisition cost.
- Coordinate with the Atmospheric Systems Team to align new product releases with the Brooks Product Life-Cycle Phase/Gates and ensure efficient release through PLM and ERP systems.
- Manage product material requirements (new and legacy) supporting project lifecycle deliverables and ensure best-in-class sourcing.
- Track and coordinate program supply chain deliverables, highlight key risks, and mitigate them with regular status reports.
- Identify and mitigate long‑term supply‑chain risks presented by new designs.
- Manage material flow per project requirements by analyzing supplier capacity and capability to ensure timely line fill and inventory optimization.
- Provide technical support for DFx (design for manufacturability, assembly, test) including reviewing engineering changes and assessing material/supply‑chain impact.
- Interact with suppliers to support NPI deliverables and manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Engage in process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of product development and supply‑chain processes.
- Travel up to 20%, including international.
- Degree in Engineering, Purchasing or other technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Commodity Management and/or Sourcing in an electro‑mechanical manufacturing environment, with 3+ years of experience in Program Management of NPI through development and product life‑cycle processes.
- Strong background with mechanical commodities (sheet‑metal, precision machining, welding, plastics, injection molding, casting, brazing) and ability to read technical documents.
- Understanding of GD&T and mechanical industry workmanship standards.
- Experience with international purchasing and sourcing and working with geographically dispersed teams; preference for supply base in Southeast Asia.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- Project/Program Management training and/or certification is highly desirable.
- Lean Six‑Sigma training and/or certification is highly desirable.
- Experience and knowledge of semiconductor equipment manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer‑focused, self‑motivated with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal direction and drive initiatives with unclear definitions.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Base Salary Range: $ to $ per year. Salary factors may include geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
