Our client, a globally-known organization in the logistics and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Logistics Packaging Engineer to join their global logistics team, in Maplewood, MN
. As a Logistics Packaging Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative packaging and shipping solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach to process improvement, aligning successfully with the organization’s goals and values.
Job Title: Logistics Packaging Engineer
Location: Maplewood, MN (Hybrid Schedule - 3 days onsite)
Pay Range: $20-25/HR + Benefits
Contract Duration: 12-Months W2 Contract, potential to extend (No C2C)
Job Functions- Design and implement logistics packaging and shipping solutions that optimize trailer utilization and reduce transportation costs across the global network.
- Document and standardize shipping and receiving processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence worldwide.
- Collaborate with logistics operations, manufacturing, procurement, and distribution teams to integrate packaging solutions seamlessly into the supply chain.
- Analyze logistics loading processes, including crating, decking, and returnables, to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to packaging efficiency and load factor performance, leveraging analytics tools like Power BI to drive continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging
, supply chain
, or logistics roles with a focus on process improvement. - Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
