You will develop and implement business procurement strategies for all our sites in Argentina & Chile in all categories of indirect materials and services (IM&S) to improve costs following Givaudan's Category strategies.
You will also lead a experienced and performance-driven Procurement team to ensure targets completion.
You will report into the Regional Head of IM&S and you will work onsite at our manufacturing mill located at Munro, Buenos Aires Province, with one home-office day a week and short Friday.
Your main responsibilities will be:Procurement Strategy Implementation
- Manage Procurement of IM&S for Argentina & Chile.
- Lead the sourcing process, which includes identifying cross-site and site-specific procurement contribution opportunities and driving these projects across sites in Argentina & Chile following the IM&S strategy.
- Support the category management teams in the roll out of strategies, which includes sourcing, pricing, rejections, supplier inventory, supply chain, obsolescence and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Implement global, regional and local agreements and support the financial targets as outlined by IM&S Procurement and the business.
- Guide the sourcing process by developing knowledge of selected supply markets through study, analysis, personal contacts with suppliers, and any other sources of market information.
- Guide vendor selection and consolidation. Initiate search for new services & materials.
- Solicit and analyze quotes, negotiate price and delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies.
- Negotiate annual and long-term contracts following category strategies.
- Perform local negotiations with suppliers and ensure contract cover.
- Investigate and approve the facilities, quality and financial responsibility of potential suppliers.
- Ensure appropriate risk evaluation within the IM&S risk framework and implement mitigation actions.
- Monitor vendors performance of quality of work, costs, timelines and other related parameters.
- Analyze trends and market movements for use in making sound procurement decisions.
- Make category specific recommendations to Category Management for Argentina & Chile.
- Manage the local IM&S Procurement team.
- Secure the necessary skills within the team through recruitment and trainings.
- Develop team member's understanding of roles, responsibilities and goals.
- University degree in a related field, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, International Relations/Trade.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer of indirect materials & services at international industrial companies.
- At least 1 year of experience leading teams.
- Fluent English, both oral and written.
- Experience with procurement systems (e.g. SAP).
- Experience in Project Management and Continuous Improvement.
