HOS is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team! You will be responsible for day-to-day operations and overall warehouse activities for House of Spices India Inc. at the distribution center.
This role will specialize in managing and deploying operational strategy, business processes and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfilment, warehousing, inventory management and logistics
Essential Functions
- Manage all operations activities at the distribution canter level including - Product life cycle management, Maintenance of enterprise asset, Production lines and logistics.
- Develop and Implement logistics process, freight management and shipment of products.
- Oversee all transportation of goods from production site to client.
- Ensure proper standard and procedures are followed within the Distribution center including:
Schedule pick up delivery and distribution of products and materials.
Forecast peak delivery periods and workforce planning.
Devise routes for shipments.
Deploy truck drivers.
Monitor progress of major shipments to ensure receipt.
Ensure goods are stored properly and at the right temperature
Ensure inventory maintains optimal level
Follow good manufacturing and food safety programs implemented by HOS
Perform weekly cycle counts at the warehouse
Ensure the proper use of all tools and systems (WMS)
- Consult on operational procedures at site level.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated operational issues to appropriate Business Partners
- Ensure all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations
- Collaborate with department heads to coordinate production, sales and record controls.
- Partner with Sales Manager to ensure sales requirements are met with efficient operational support and ensure deliveries/customer timelines are met.
- Issue appropriate work assignments to all operations team members.
- Manage subordinates' staff in the day-day performance of their jobs.
- Manage onsite overtime as well as implement optimal workforce.
- Knowledge of warehouse management system FIFO and ageing inventory.
- Expert knowledge on warehouse management systems including Navision
- Responsible for cycle counts and inventory management.
Required Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, or related field
- 3 or more years experience in retail; food or convenience retail
- 3 or more years of experience in MS
- Office Excel - Knowledge and understanding of operational best practices, with a focus on manufacturing/distribution industry a plus
