Shipping Supervisor
Based in our Forney, Texas location, you will lead daily shipping operations, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. In this role, you'll coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, and warehouse teams to prioritize shipments, solve operational challenges, and drive exceptional customer service. You'll also coach and develop shipping personnel, monitor performance metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise daily shipping operations, ensuring customer orders are processed, planned, and shipped accurately and on time
- Coordinate shipping priorities with Customer Service, Logistics, and warehouse teams while communicating shipment status, delays, and operational updates
- Monitor shipment activity, aging orders, shipping exceptions, and system performance across multiple transportation and warehouse management systems
- Lead and develop shipping office personnel through workload management, scheduling, coaching, training, attendance management, and performance feedback
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, SOPs, work instructions, and company policies, including OSHA and safety standards
- Track shipping performance, productivity, labor, and service metrics, identifying and implementing opportunities for operational improvement
- Troubleshoot shipping, system, and customer-related issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
Schedule:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. This is a first-shift position with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Required Education, Experience &
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general computer skills
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping, and inventory control
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and develop benchmarks and KPIs
- Proven leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example and train others
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. — sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Education, Experience &
Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
- Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems (QMS)
