Company OverviewDream Fields is one of the top five cannabis companies in the industry through our leading #1 pre-roll brand, Jeeter. We are passionate about producing world-class marketing, high-quality, innovative products, delivering exceptional customer experiences, operating cutting-edge processes, and fostering an amazing company culture and thriving work environment. With over 1,500 employees, we are proud to be one of the most loved employers in the industry.
Dream Fields continues to experience exponential growth as one of the fastest-growing companies in the cannabis industry, aggressively expanding nationally into all legalized cannabis states.
The Demand Planner owns the demand forecast for Jeeter's product portfolio and facilitates the monthly Demand Review within our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP / Integrated Business Planning) cycle. You will convert history, sell-through, promotions, seasonality, and new-product plans into a reliable, consensus-based demand plan - the single number that drives supply, inventory, replenishment, and procurement decisions. This is a highly cross-functional, analytical role for someone equally comfortable with the data and in the room building alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Duties/Responsibilities- Own the demand forecast - a rolling statistical baseline forecast at multiple levels of aggregation (SKU, brand, category, channel, region), then enrich it with market intelligence, promotions, and new-product plans to produce the consensus demand plan.
- Facilitate the S&OP & S&OE Process - the monthly S&OP Process, aligning Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Planning and Finance on one plan; present forecasts, metrics, KPIs, gaps, opportunities, and month-over-month changes, and document assumptions, risks, and decisions.
- Plan demand across channels - across both retail/dispensary and wholesale, aligning dispensary-level inventory needs with wholesale partner sell-through and sales projections across product categories.
- Analyze shipment history, retail sell-through/POS, and inventory positions to surface trends, anomalies, and demand drivers; recommend forecast adjustments with clear, data-backed rationale.
- Feed downstream planning - a clean, trusted demand handoff to Supply & Inventory and Procurement planning so replenishment, weeks-of-hand, safety stock, and forward-buy decisions are built on a single number.
- Measure and improve accuracy - forecast accuracy and bias (MAPE, WMAPE MAD, forecast error) by SKU, category, channel, and region; run root-cause analysis on bias and exception alerts, and drive continuous improvement in forecast quality.
- Manage lifecycle events - new product introductions, transitions, and discontinuations within the forecast - coordinating launch quantities and phase-in/phase-out timing and tracking the performance of new items post-launch.
- Maintain planning data & tools - demand data across our systems - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Salesforce, Excel Tools, and Power BI - and help strengthen the planning data foundation, tools, and reporting.
- Report and communicate - recurring demand reporting and ad-hoc analyses for planning leadership and cross-functional partners, influencing decisions without direct authority.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Self-driven and highly motivated with strong attention to accuracy and details.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and build positive relationships cross-functionally.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (sumifs, vlookups, xlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc.).
- CPG/Other high-velocity consumer-goods experience.
- Experience in cannabis or another regulated, multi-state industry, including retail and wholesale channels.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) or progress toward it.
