Materials Dispatch Coordinator

• Dispatch raw materials in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicate with plant locations by phone, email, and other modes of communication.
• Communicate with drivers and third party trucking companies as needed.
• Data entry and data interpretation in spreadsheets and other dispatch systems.
• Solicit future orders from plant locations.
• Negotiate with plants on an acceptable delivery time and quantity.
• Address driver concerns in a timely manner and escalat e to Materials Dispatch Manager as appropriate.

• Knowledge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas.
• Communicate in a positive and helpful manner within the company.
• Ability to read and understand online mapping programs .
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when handling stressful situations.

• High School diploma.
• Three to five years related experience in dispatching, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Post-Secondary education preferred.

• Read, write and speak English.

• Perform basic math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

• Apply basic computer skills for dispatching bulk materials trucks.

• Be able to go from phone call to phone call quickly and efficiently.
• Approximately 85% of the day is sitting and entering information into a computer.
• Overtime may be required as business dictates.

• This position involves working in an office environment throughout the year.
• This position does not qualify for Work-From-Home
• Some after hour meetings may be required.
• Year-round standard in-person start time between 6:00am and 8:00am depending on dispatching needs

The expected pay range for this role will be $30-$35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
