About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Procurement Manager to lead their purchasing function. This position will oversee all aspects of procurement, from strategic sourcing and vendor management to contract negotiation and cost optimization, operating entirely remotely. You will develop and implement robust procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
This is a leadership role for an individual passionate about driving efficiency and value through procurement excellence, contributing to the company's success on a national scale.
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Lead the sourcing and negotiation process for major contracts and supplier agreements.
- Manage and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative remote work environment.
- Implement and oversee procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyze market dynamics and supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company ethical standards.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of leading successful strategic sourcing initiatives and achieving significant cost savings.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, and risk mitigation.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, adapted for a remote setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
