Overview

Visa is a world leader in payments technology, facilitating transactions across more than 200 countries and territories.

The Sr. Director is responsible for managing a team of sellers supporting issuer payment processing services into medium to large financial institutions and negotiating contractual arrangements. Specifically, you will lead a team of existing business sellers for Visa DPS, one of Visa's longest-standing value-added services offered to financial institutions. DPS is an industry-leading business that offers banking partners simple payments processing capabilities, alongside knowledgeable Visa partners to help clients stay at the forefront of the future of payments.

As a Sr. Director for Visa for Value Added Services / DPS, you'll be responsible for developing talent, managing a pipeline, executing the strategic direction to exceed targets, renewing business, and maintaining Sr. level relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. You'll collaborate with a team to ensure our clients receive the best of Visa.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Team to Success:
    Develop a sales strategy that provides direction for the team to execute on quarterly and annual targets.
  • Negotiate Contracts:
    Collaborate with your team to negotiate contracts with financial institutions to help them use our payment processing services.
  • Obsess about Customers:
    Ensure the team is up to speed on all Visa has to offer to proactively pitch compelling solution sets that will help clients maximize their payment portfolios.
  • Drive Innovation into the Market:
    Influence marketing and product development initiatives based on market intelligence; launch new products in your territory.
  • Lead Courageously:
    Contribute to the development of the overall functional strategy and annual goals; coach and mentor the team to lift the performance of the entire VAS organization.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Prior track record in leading/managing a high performing team
  • You have expert ability to develop and nurture new business partnerships.
  • Proven strength in building trust with senior executives within client organizations.
  • Expertise in negotiating business agreements, with a strong understanding of financial controls and the legal aspects of contract management.
  • Exceptional skills in proactively building strong internal and cross-functional relationships.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Work Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

The estimated salary range for this position is $259,600 to $454,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
