Parts-Warehouse Operations Manager–North
We are seeking candidates for our Parts-Warehouse Operations Manager – North role. This position has the responsibility of overseeing warehouse operations for all Ohio locations, as well as managing the Ohio Customer Care Team and overseeing equipment parts management.
Primary Responsibilities- Communicate effectively and respectfully with associates in all divisions of the company in order to achieve department and company goals.
- Consistently display positive, friendly, cooperative, and collaborative behavior with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Manage and empower the Customer Care Team in the North as well as the warehouse team members in the branches.
- Perform the human resources practices for the division including hiring, administering disciplinary action, training new associates, scheduling, conducting performance reviews, and monitoring daily activities.
- Effectively manage a remote “Work-From-Home” CSR team.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions for the Customer Care Team-North and Warehouse Operations Associates.
- Organize meetings to increase team motivation and attitudes, creating a positive team environment.
- Drive quality and consistency.
- Must provide timely follow-up to company team members and customers.
- Establish and maintain proper warehouse procedures: maximize space and minimize cycle count inventory variance across the branches in the North.
- Make sure vendor claims are completed in a timely manner.
- Work with the Director of Customer Care to establish overall SG&A budget for the division.
- Manage expense budget for Customer Care department in the North.
- Monitor problems in the inventory supply chain of vendors to be able to react to the changing environment.
- Promote/train team members and customers on the company’s e-commerce platform.
- Work with buyers to maintain the correct inventory needed at each location.
- Travel to Ohio branches bi-weekly to maintain operational standards, safety, and inventory levels.
- Provide solutions for SAP B1 to improve processes related to customer care and warehousing.
- Must be well versed in the use of the Toro Connect, Distributor Portal, Club Car Links, and other vendor websites to acquire information and make corrections.
- Knowledge of the UPS, Fed Ex, LTL shipping procedures, pricing, and websites.
- Understanding of the phone system, ability to train and use its functionality in a professional manner for the division.
- Recommend changes if needed to management for all operations of the division.
- Participate in all required training, keep current with all product lines and computer software needed to maintain efficiency in the division.
- Develop and embrace the culture and style of Jerry Pate Turf & Irrigation to maximize the development and growth of yourself and your team. Work effectively across the JPTI organization to meet the needs of the business and create one company for the customers.
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel with multiple overnight stays via airplane, car, or other appropriate means of transportation for business-related purposes. This includes but may not be limited to facility and field visits, vendor visits, continued education, and other business-related activities.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Customer Care and company management.
- Five years management experience.
- Five years inventory/shipping experience preferred.
- Possess strong human resource management skills including hiring, retention, motivating, coaching, problem solving, training, and facilitating terminations.
- Possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in use of SAP B1, MS Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by JPTI’s current carrier.
- Ability required to lift up to 50lbs.
- Detailed Oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Positive, energetic, creative personality with the experience and desire to get the job done.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
