Job Title: Safety Director
Location: Hartford, CT (Home Office)
Start Date: 6/16/2025
Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000

Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 40 hours/week | Occasional travel to regional project sites

Position Overview:
The Safety Director will lead the company's safety division, overseeing the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols across various construction and environmental projects. This includes regulatory compliance, employee training, and strategic safety planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enforce the company's corporate safety program
- Conduct OSHA 10- and 30-hour training courses
- Update and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies
- Conduct job site audits to ensure OSHA and company safety compliance
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and ensure corrective actions are executed
- Collaborate with project teams to drive a proactive safety culture
- Maintain safety documentation and compliance reports
- Serve as the point of contact for safety-related matters with regulators and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- OSHA 500 Certification (authorized to teach OSHA 10/30)
- 7-10 years of construction safety experience, with prior leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and multi-site safety program management
- Experience in both general construction and environmental safety preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel as needed (gas card provided)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field
- Regional experience managing multi-project safety programs
