Job OverviewNoco Holdings is seeking a hands-on and experienced Controller to lead and manage accounting operations across our growing organization. This role combines financial leadership with operational oversight of payroll, benefits, and HR functions. The Controller will partner with executive leadership to provide strategic insights, ensure financial accuracy, and support continued organizational growth. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic financial professional to play a pivotal role in a multi-entity, construction-focused business.

Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end/year-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and executive-level reporting
- Support KPI development and financial analysis for leadership
- Accounting Operations
- Manage AP, AR, and General Ledger functions
- Oversee job cost alignment, intercompany transactions, and vendor/customer billing
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts
- Ensure internal control and compliance best practices
- Construction Accounting & Operational Support
- Support WIP reporting and project profitability analysis
- Attend financial review meetings with operations
- Coordinate with external CPAs and auditors
- Monitor cash flow and regulatory compliance
- Systems & Process Ownership
- Serve as ERP system owner (Acumatica preferred)
- Maintain financial dashboards, workflows, and internal controls
- Lead accounting team training and development
- Human Resources Oversight
- Provide oversight for HR processes including onboarding, performance, and compliance
- Partner with leadership on employee relations and cultural alignment
- Maintain updated employee handbook and HR policies
- Payroll, Benefits & Employee Administration
- Manage full-cycle payroll using Pay Day
- Administer benefits through Employee Navigator, Ameritas (401k), Zizzl
- Ensure payroll compliance, journal entries, audits, and accurate records
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Controller-level leadership experience strongly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or HR background a plus)
- Deep knowledge of job cost, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting
- ERP system experience required (Acumatica highly preferred)
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High integrity, ownership mindset, and continuous improvement orientation
- Competitive base salary: $90,000–$120,000
