Role

As a Project Manager, your mission is to work closely with customers, distributors and salesmen to determine customer needs, develop innovative global solutions, and provide efficient processes for global execution. The Project Manager must be a leader, capable of directing and motivating cross-functional teams to accomplish all planned activities from purchase order through final acceptance. The PM will be responsible to manage the entire workflow, working closely with the Production Supervisor to execute projects on Budget, on Time, and to a Quality standard that gives Atlas Copco high levels of Customer Satisfaction.

You will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary single point contact between multiple customers and High Performance Teams
  • Independently initiate and manage multiple projects simultaneously within Work Front
  • Review quotations and contract specifications per the requirements of customer orders
  • Establish budgets and monitor project cost performance through the entire project
  • Prepare project reports and/or open issue decks for internal departments and customers
  • Conduct strategic project planning and regular project review meetings with internal and external customers
  • Proactive communication and keep commitments to customers in order to drive customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget and quality levels
  • Prepare status reports and schedules (Excel and/or MS Project) or plans as required
  • Initialize and monitor all Change Order Revisions
  • Identify Risks associated with projects. Develop and communicate plans to handle the risk with internal and external customers
  • Coordinate part tryout, runoff procedures, installation and post-job reviews.
  • Confer with appropriate personnel to provide technical support and to resolve open issues
  • International and/or Domestic Travel Required
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Highly motivated, resourceful self-starter and be able demonstrate successful performance with independent problem solving, planning & execution, and leadership within and across departments to meet changing deadlines
  • Minimum 8+ years diversified engineering experience
    • Knowledge of General Industry & Motor Vehicle Industry segments a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSME or BSEE) from an accredited four year college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • PMI Certification is recommended.
  • Excellent oral, written and organizational communication skills plus strong interpersonal skills are required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, and have the ability to chair meetings

This position is based in New Hudson, MI, United States, with a hybrid working model that offers flexibility to work both remotely and onsite.
