As the Family Foundations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading Crossnore’s Intensive In-Home Team, Family Foundations, by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that children and families receive the best care possible. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence positive change in the lives of children and families in Avery County and the surrounding region. You will provide clinical expertise, supervise staff, and manage family caseloads while being available for emergency consultations.

The Family Foundations Supervisor position at Crossnore Communities for Children is a leadership role that combines clinical expertise, team management, and community collaboration to make a significant impact in the lives of families. HIRING RANGE: $55,000 to $68,000 annually
- Associate Licensed - $55,000 annually. Salary is based on education and experience. All associate licensed therapists will start at $55K unless there is additional relevant experience in the human service field (excluding internship).
- Fully Licensed - $60,000 - $68,000 annually
- Must successfully complete extensive background checks, interviews, and pre-hire drug screen

Job Information
STATUS: Full Time / Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services or related field.
- Licensed clinician required (full or associate level LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT).
- Minimum of at least 2 years experience providing direct services to children and families.
- Previous experience as a supervisor strongly preferred.
- Clinical Expertise:
Proficiency in providing individual and family therapy, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans in line with the NC Division of MH/DD/SA Service Definition. - Team Leadership:
Strong leadership skills to supervise and support a diverse team, ensuring they meet service and training requirements. - Crisis Management:
Ability to provide 24/7 crisis intervention support, guiding staff and families through emergencies and safety concerns. - Communication and
Collaboration:
Excellent interpersonal skills to consult with community agencies, schools, and other service providers, ensuring integrated care for children and families. - Compliance and Administrative
Skills:
Detail-oriented to maintain accurate documentation, supervise staff, manage budgets, and adhere to state regulations.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
- Ensure the Family Foundations team meets NC Intensive In-Home Service Definition requirements.
- Provide therapy and assessments for clients and families, ensuring regular team meetings and plan updates.
- Maintain appropriate team-to-family ratios and service authorizations.
Supervision and Training
- Lead individual and team supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development for team members.
- Provide on-the-job training and feedback, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and respect.
- Ensure team members are trained in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and goal-setting processes.
Crisis Support
- Be available for immediate consultation 24/7 for crisis management and safety planning.
- Collaborate with team members to address family crises and provide necessary medical and non-medical referrals.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor and review the quality of interventions through home-based session visits, documentation review, and clinical records analysis.
- Use data to evaluate and improve individual and team performance regularly.
Administrative and Compliance
- Manage timesheets, expense reports, and team schedules, ensuring compliance with agency protocols.
- Familiarize yourself with the Electronic Health Record system and ensure timely documentation.
Staff Management
- Supervise staff, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
