DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
In this essential position, you will play a key role in maintaining records, coordinating in-house maintenance schedules, and supervising the work assignments and repairs carried out by the Bridge Maintenance Crews for all structures within the District. You will also provide oversight and guidance to design teams and the Bridge Management Unit in preparing contracts for maintenance work executed by external contractors.

Additionally, you will assist in drafting the annual Bridge Washing Contract and offer field supervision to the Bridge Crews in your assigned region, ensuring they receive the necessary engineering support during their operations. Furthermore, you will oversee and direct the activities of the Bridge Foremen (HF3) in your region, providing both supervisory and engineering guidance related to structure repairs, facility modifications, and summer maintenance tasks.

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Schedule may be subject to change due to seasonal/operational needs.
• Telework:
  You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

• Salary:
  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345 (before taxes).

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Special Requirements:
  This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
