Scientific Review Manager
GDIT manages the scientific review of biomedical research grant applications for a federal government agency. We are seeking a Scientific Review Manager for a full remote position. In this role you will be working closely with a project manager as a part of a cross‑functional team to manage the grant review process for individual programs, specifically focusing on the scientific/technical and ethical aspects to ensure a fair and thorough review of each application by subject matter experts, while maintaining the integrity of the entire review process.
Responsibilities of the Scientific Review Manager include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the client program managers and manage client expectations.
- Communicate program goals and established processes to the project team.
- Supervise a matrixed group of scientific review officers (SROs) assigned to individual review panels.
- Guide and oversee SROs throughout the review process, including reviewer recruitment, meeting facilitation and summary statement writing.
- Perform quality control of the SROs’ panel management work.
- Develop and present reviewer trainings.
- Perform quality control of the scientific contents of client deliverables.

PhD, MD or equivalent - Experience:
3-6 years of working experience in biomedical sciences - US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
