Job Summary
We have an immediate need for an IS Sr Project Manager & Scrum Master familiar with Marketing technologies to coordinate enablement activities for large-scale Marketing initiatives including support for a new non-tender loyalty program. This role works under minimal supervision to plan, direct and coordinate activities of the assigned project to ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budgetary parameters.
This is a hybrid position to facilitate with the team and colleagues in-person at our headquarters in Freeport, Maine 3 days a week and work from home the other 2 days, for local candidates. Remote candidates will also be considered.

- Communication and Presentation:
- Keep stakeholders, including management, informed of progress to goal; negotiate adjustments to the schedule and resources to ensure overall quality of completed project.
- Act as central point for all project communications.
- Leverage most effective means of communication based on situation/urgency.
- Develop and deliver presentation content to drive understanding and alignment across the Team and Project Sponsors (Governance structure).
- Establishes and Maintains Effective Project Governance:
- Identify and facilitate acquiring a Sponsor role that is executed at the appropriate level of the organization.
- Identify and facilitate acquiring a Steering Group that supports/influences the Sponsor while representing a cross‑functional perspective with common project goals.
- Identify and facilitate acquiring a Stakeholder Group that represents and can influence project direction and deliverables.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate to develop a positive relationship between L.L.Bean and vendor(s) to ensure successful project deliverables.
- Negotiate contracts and Non‑Disclosure Agreements with vendors, monitor project deliverables, and transition vendor contracts to internal support owners to ensure understanding and compliance with service level agreements.
- Track and maintain vendor deliverable costs.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and analyze project risks to determine highest potential risk exposure that should be proactively managed.
- Focus on resolution of issues and risks using appropriate levels of escalation considering impact on scope, schedule, budget or quality.
- Project Detail and Schedules:
- Develop a project work breakdown structure.
- Develop and manage a project schedule/timeline using approved Project Management tools (Prism PPM, Jira, SharePoint, etc.).
- Develop, monitor, and manage the project staffing plan and resource allocations approved by resource managers.
- Determine resource assignments with task estimates (ETC’s).
- Use negotiation skills to balance completing work with resources needed to achieve project success.
- Project Financials:
- Develop a project budget and track actuals and forecasts weekly.
- Manage project budget in relevant tools for financials and resource allocation.
- Provide weekly budget spend/status reporting.
- Strong hands‑on project management & Scrum Master skills - at least 5 years of experience managing complex IT efforts.
- Management of large teams with members working in multiple locations.
- Experience structuring work into various work streams within a large project and managing multiple IT projects concurrently.
- Strong applied use of PM & Scrum tools/techniques (planning, risk management, budgeting, cost control, assessment, software/SaaS acquisition/RFP, develop & management of Jira board, Scrum ceremonies, etc.).
- Experience with vendor contracts and vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), English-language skills, facilitation skills, etc., and ability to represent work at all levels of the organization (up to Executive levels).
- Excellent people skills – developing strong relationships, building a trusting team environment, and ability to listen and translate into actionable plans.
