Position: Program Manager (Shared Services)

Overview

This Program Manager will support the Banks Shared Services division, and will be responsible for leading and developing complex, cross‑functional initiatives from planning through implementation. The role ensures alignment across stakeholders, maintains execution momentum, and provides structure and accountability across multiple work streams. When a dedicated project manager is not assigned, the Program Manager assumes full project leadership to ensure successful accountability.

The Program Manager provides visibility, organization, and decision support through effective use of project management tools, project plans, initiative logs, RACI charts, and executive‑requested outputs. Analysis, documentation, and executive‑level updates produced by this role enable business unit leaders and senior leadership to make informed decisions and advance strategic priorities.

This position will be hired remotely in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Lead Cross‑Functional Execution of Complex Initiatives

Own the end‑to‑end delivery of assigned initiatives, including delegation where appropriate but also direct execution on key tasks to ensure alignment across consumer and business banking. You’ll focus on oversight as well as hands‑on involvement, taking full ownership of your assigned pieces.

Build and Maintain Milestone Timelines

Oversee your initiatives, keeping them at pace, ensuring readiness is cared for. Independent notes are encouraged, but concise updates to the initiatives list along with a concise project update and/or deliverable is expected.

Serve as a Shared Services SME on Partner‑Led Initiatives

Act as subject matter expert for assigned initiatives involving external or internal partners, providing your expertise, guidance while owning liaison duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in Project management or Program management OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Project management or Program management.

License or Certification Type: PMP certification Preferred, PgMP certification Preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate reside in North Carolina.
