The hiring range for this position is $101,600 - $127,000/annually
The full salary range for this position is $101,600 - $158,750/annually

* OVERVIEW OF JOBThe
** Risk Operations Manager
** plans, organizes, directs and implements strategies for the city’s Risk Management program. This role provides technical supervision and direction over the administration and disposition of worker's compensation and multi-line liability claims. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises workers’ compensation adjusters, provides guidance on complex claims, evaluates and recommends how to resolve indemnity claims, including settlement positions. Reviews, evaluates, and recommends acceptance or contest of workers' compensation claims.
Provides claims data at the request of various state agencies, including statutory required reports to the Division of Workers’ Compensation. Performs additional duties as assigned. ** At least 5 years of progressively responsible risk management or claims experience.
At least 3 years supervisory experience with at least 2 years managerial experience.

* ** Knowledge:
** nowledge of applicable state to workers' compensation laws and division rules.
Knowledge of principles of auto liability, commercial property, and cyber liability claims.
Understands best practices in claims handling for worker's compensation and multi-line claims.

** Abilities:
** Ability to mentor and develop future leaders.
Ability to eAbility to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
