• Provide high standards of service to members. Assist with directing and coordinating all deposit and lending activities by the branch team members.
• Assist in planning and managing all aspects of the branch. Perform the duties of any branch team member when necessary.
• Communicate with other departments of the Credit Union to enhance member service.
• Create a team environment that facilitates engagement and team member participation.
• Assist the manager with training, development, and performance of branch team members.
• Review, make recommendations, and implement improvements in branch operations.
• Ensure proper cash handling, balancing procedures, daily reconciliation of branch totals, and daily opening/closing of the branch office.
• Assist with responsibilities related to the daily operation, reconciliation and problem resolution of the branch ATM.
• Act as Branch Manager for Saturday work schedule rotation at assigned branch locations.
• Prepare statistical and operational reports as needed.
• Assist with conducting team meetings as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations affecting financial institutions, policies and procedures.
• Review and modify written procedures as needed.
• Manage credit union security procedures.
• Assist the manager with facility responsibilities.
• Volunteer in various activities sponsored by UMCU within the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor communities.

• Associate's degree or equivalent; or 2 or more years of management experience, is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial institution is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other related skills.
• Must be a team player and possess a high energy “can do” attitude.
