The Association of Clinical Research Professionals is seeking a Vice President, Learning & Development to lead the strategy and implementation for ACRP Learning & Development built upon key principles of learning design and theory, including building a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of the association’s members and the clinical research marketplace, and creating training and education programs that enhance ACRP’s membership and reputation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure ACRP’s reputation as a market leader in training and education for clinical research professionals and the clinical research industry.
- Effectively oversee all ACRP learning program development, including in-person, online programs, and annual education conference learning content; develop curricula for all levels of the profession.
- Create high quality ACRP learning programs that are impressive, informative, and receive high evaluation scores, and that increase engagement for ACRP learning endeavors across all platforms.
- Lead the content development for ACRP’s education conference, including managing the proposal process, volunteer expert review, selection and securing of speakers, and on-site educational content management.
- Develop a strategy and structure for assessing and marketing knowledge gain through ACRP training courses.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate new learning programs, utilizing data-driven strategies and learning analytics. Effectively use course evaluation data to recommend strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Usher in new opportunities for online learning and new, innovative formats for ACRP learning, delivering training and education to audiences in innovative formats.
- Identify and expertly manage volunteer content leaders to deliver programs and products, with the goals of building community, sharing clinical research professionals’ expertise, and positioning ACRP as a market leader in learning.
- Understand trends that shape member content and respond accordingly through new products and programs; keep abreast of new learning platforms and integrate them into ACRP’s learning structure as appropriate.
- Interact professionally with members and customers through collaboration with ACRP Customer Success and Customer Care.
- Participate as a member of the executive staff team, contributing to development of long- term strategy and annual organizational goals. Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other senior staff in membership, marketing, communications, and development as necessary to achieve organizational goals.
- Meet L&D department financial goals, established through setting annual departmental Objective & Key Results (OKR) and a departmental budget. Monitor performance against OKRs and budget and ensure course corrections as needed.
- Collaborate with other senior team members to assess member needs, program viability, and development of successful business models to support educational goals.
- Direct and establish priorities for staff team. Instill excellent member relations skills in all members of the Learning department. Manage a team of FTEs and contractors. Support staff development. Conduct annual employee performance evaluations in line with ACRP’s PEP policies.
- At least 15 years of senior level experience.
- Solid understanding of adult learning program theory, design, development, and delivery.
- Proven experience designing, managing and overseeing the educational content development, speaker selection and management, and on-site supervision for the educational components of large educational conference programs and events.
- Proven approaches in creating exceptional learning experiences.
- Experience taking initiative and demonstrating drive and interest in learning, growing and pushing the boundaries to develop quality learning programs and in disseminating both traditional and online programs for a diverse membership.
- Ability to identify and coach top-notch and diverse speakers for major conferences.
- Experience in establishing vendor and service provider relationships.
- Experience developing and managing complex budgets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as marketing and communication skills.
- Innovative and pragmatic thinker.
- Focused – an ability to manage multiple programs at one time.
- Highly detailed, organized, efficient and deadline driven.
- Excellent member relations skills and ability to manage volunteer groups.

ACRP is an all remote office.
