Aon is looking for an Associated Director, Property Risk & Resilience Consulting, Account Management

We currently have an exciting career opportunity to lead our Account Management team in the United States. This position will support Aon’s Property Risk & Resilience Consulting Group.

This role also plays a critical part in supporting and aligning to Aon's 3x3 strategy and helping to execute AGRC's Good to Great vision. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to strategic initiatives that drive excellence across innovation, colleague development, business development, quality & compliance, and financial performance—ensuring our team continues to elevate outcomes and deliver differentiated value.

What the day will look like:

The successful applicant should be familiar with the following:

  • Experience managing a team of Property Account Managers and direct reports
  • Working with Talent Acquisition to hire new talent.
  • Experience coaching mentoring a team of professionals on a path towards continuous improvement.
  • Manage annual performance reviews.
  • Experience with salary administration and bonus awards.
  • Encourage colleagues to support professional & technical innovation towards the resolution of our clients risk improvement challenges, including the leveraging of AI.
  • Participation in RFP’s, written and oral
  • Coordination with Regional Risk Control Managers (Lat Am, Canda, EMEA, APAC)
  • Preparing quality and consistent SOP’s supporting internal and external facing operations.
  • Brokerage submission information.
  • Data assembly and analytics
  • Summary documents.
  • Broker renewal support.
  • Attendance & participation at carrier meetings.
  • Vendor management.
  • Recommendation review & analysis.
  • Understand the natural hazards and climate change modeling process.
  • Use of available online tools to analyze flood exposures in accordance with NIFP and FEMA guidelines.
  • Coordination of vendor RFPs.
  • Knowledge of B&M Jurisdictional inspection requirements.
  • Hazards associated with a variety of occupancies including manufacturing, warehousing, soft occupancies, etc.
  • Problem solving using the application of Client Standards, NFPA, FM Global or other best practices to resolve technical fire protection issues.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience and professional designations.
  • Person should have HPR property engineering experience with knowledge of both NFPA and Factory Mutual standards as well as an understanding of property insurance policy terms and conditions.
  • Applicant must be proficient in managing clients, staff, carrier, and insurance brokerage relationships. Ability to promote comfortable and constructive communication, and continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills a must and should be able to effectively explain general property risk management concepts to prospective clients and internal business groups.
  • Applicant should be able to manage group, colleague and project performance metrics to match financial and Aon Leadership goals.
  • 15 years with a broker, Highly Protected Risk insurance carrier or vendor.
