Assistant Cleaning Manager

We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant Cleaning Manager to support the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across the Lincolnshire County Council contract. This is a mobile role covering up to 30 sites across the county, ensuring service standards, compliance, and team performance meet contractual and company expectations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational delivery, managing staff, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple locations.

• Support the Cleaning Manager in overseeing cleaning operations across multiple sites within Lincolnshire.
• Manage and supervise a team of approximately 30 cleaning staff.
• Conduct regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards and KPIs.
• Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Ensure health & safety policies, COSHH procedures, and company guidelines are followed.
• Manage staffing levels, absence cover, and rota planning.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and service delivery optimisation.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (role involves regular travel between sites).
• BIC’s (British Institute of Cleaning Science) qualification.
• Previous supervisory or management experience within the cleaning or facilities management sector.
• Experience managing multiple sites and teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of health & safety regulations within cleaning services.
