Overview of Job

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and manage software development projects within our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in software development. You will oversee the planning, execution and delivery of projects, ensuring that all objectives are met within scope, time and budget constraints.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers and stakeholders. The Project Manager will play a key role in driving project success and fostering a collaborative environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure projects are aligned with business goals and software development best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including software developers, testers, UX/UI designers and QA engineers.
  • Assign tasks, set milestones and ensure smooth communication between team members.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope and budget.
  • Identify potential risks, resolve issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure the delivery of high‑quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, risks and deliverables through regular updates and reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate changes to project scope as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
  • Implement agile, Scrum or other relevant software development practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Conduct post‑project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future improvement.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and use of resources.
  • Work closely with the finance and HR departments to allocate resources, control costs, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing software development projects, preferably with a mix of traditional and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with software development tools, programming languages and frameworks.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent team leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle tight deadlines.
  • Experience in risk identification, mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, developers and senior management.
  • Skilled in negotiating project scope and handling change requests.
  • Strong analytical skills to foresee challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues early in the project lifecycle.
