About The Role:
We are seeking a Learning and Development Manager to join our People & Culture team. This position reports to the Director of People & Talent, with 3-5 direct reports, responsible for bringing Rincon’s learning strategy to life through scalable, measurable development programs that strengthen leadership capability, performance, and engagement across the firm.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a strategic, execution-focused leader who can build trusted partnerships, lead complex programs end-to-end, and deliver practical learning solutions aligned to business priorities.
How We Collaborate:This role may offer a hybrid work setup, blending time in the office with remote work as business needs evolve. We enjoy coming together in person to collaborate, connect with teammates, and partner with clients, and may prioritize candidates who live within 50 miles of a Rincon office. Eligible office locations for this role include Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura.

High Level Duties
:
- Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of Rincon’s learning and development programs.
- Partner with leaders to assess development needs using performance trends, feedback, and organizational priorities.
- Manage mid-to-large scale programs from planning through implementation and continuous improvement.
- Build and scale leadership development, including front-line supervisor training and leader enablement resources.
- Design and launch a firmwide skills capability, and competency framework to support development of learning materials.
- Develop career track and growth programs tied to competencies and clear learning pathways.
- Define learning metrics, evaluate program effectiveness/ROI, and improve outcomes using data.
- Lead and develop a small team through coaching, direction, and quality oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in learning & development, talent development, or organizational development (additional experience leading large-scale programs strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programs with strong project management discipline and follow-through.
- Strong facilitation, instructional design, and learning consulting capabilities.
- Experience applying adult learning methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, competency-based design).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements.
- A proactive, hands-on, solutions-oriented style with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with an LMS (Cornerstone preferred) and comfort with learning and project tools (e.g., Smartsheet/MS Project; Articulate/Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond preferred).
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000–$150,000, plus a generous benefits program. Salary ranges are based on the market median of similar jobs, according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Base pay is determined based on internal equity and a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
