Role: Senior Revenue Manager for North America and APJC, reporting to the Global Revenue Accounting Director. This role has direct supervisory and mentorship responsibilities. You will provide leadership, accounting expertise, business acumen, and process improvement. You will manage revenue closely and drive strategic initiatives while partnering with Finance, Deals Desk, Legal, Sales, and Sales Operations. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of critical and creative thinking.

Experience in revenue accounting operations within a dynamic environment is required.

Location & Work Model: This is a full-time remote position based in the United States. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.

• Serve as the internal expert on ASC 606. Interpret complex contracts to determine proper accounting treatment.
• Research, draft, and maintain technical accounting memos for complex, non-routine revenue transactions.
• Manage Planet’s revenue accounting in North America and APJC, including month/quarter/year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and related reporting and disclosures within a SOX framework.
• Partner with Sales, Finance/FP&A, Legal, and Sales Operations on deal structure and contractual guidance for revenue compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audit activities related to revenue recognition and controls.
• Assist External Reporting with revenue-related disclosures for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Directly manage and lead the Fulfillment Team responsible for operational delivery and activation of customer goods/services per contract terms.
• Coordinate projects, product implementations, and system enhancements impacting revenue.
• Coach and develop your team for growth and professional development.

• 6+ years of revenue accounting experience in both public and private companies
• 4+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related quantitative field
• Excellent understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 in a SaaS or software-focused industry
• Self-starter with accountability for self and team
• Experience supporting Deals Desk, Legal, and/or Sales during deal negotiations for revenue compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage resources to meet deadlines
• Ability to develop and inspire a team with empowerment and upward feedback
• Experience with Net Suite and Salesforce
• Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential data
• Experience working across internal and external organizations
• Expertise in Excel
