* Monitor lumber commodity market conditions (pricing indexes, supply disruptions, freight constraints, weather impacts, and mill curtailments) and proactively adjust buy points, safety stock, and forward purchasing strategies to mitigate volatility and protect working capital.

* Partner with branch leadership and yard operations teams to optimize lumber storage, pack sizes, unit turns, and handling efficiencies, reducing damage, shrink, and aging inventory while improving yard flow and customer service readiness.

* Analyze lumber-specific KPIs including truckload utilization, unit cost per thousand board feet (MBF), freight per unit, cut-to-length or special-order performance, and product mix profitability to continuously refine replenishment strategy and maximize gross margin.

* Spearhead strategic inventory control by collaborating with field leadership to establish and meet inventory goals, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal inventory levels and turnover rates.

* Foster internal and external collaborative relationships with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Inventory Vendors, ensuring alignment and seamless communication to support regional inventory objectives and corporate goals.
