Overview
The Regional Safety Manager (RSM) at SRS Heritage Group serves a critical role in advancing safety and compliance across the Heritage Pool and Landscape division by developing and implementing safety policies that align with State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations. This position requires a strategic partnership with District and Branch Managers to promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols, fostering an environment of safety excellence.
The RSM is responsible for performing incident investigations, conducting operator safety training, and ensuring comprehensive safety compliance to safeguard the well-being of all employees and enhance the effectiveness of Heritage Pool's safety programs.
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of all safety policies and procedures across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations across all branches, proactively identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee the currency and effectiveness of operator safety training programs for existing employees, facilitating professional development and ensuring industry-best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date OSHA logs and incident reports using the Origami platform, supporting transparency and informed decision-making.
- Conduct detailed incident and accident investigations to identify root causes, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with branch management to design and sustain a secure working environment that prioritizes health and safety, integrating safety into daily operations.
- Assess and resolve DOT compliance issues in coordination with branch management, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards within the transportation function.
- Facilitate comprehensive training and compliance initiatives for hazardous materials transportation and storage, advancing employee competencies and safety protocols.
- Champion a proactive safety culture within the Heritage Pool Division, engaging staff at all levels to prioritize safety awareness and establish a shared commitment to a risk-free workplace.
The Regional Safety Manager reports directly to the Director of Safety within the SRS Heritage Group. This position does not have any direct reports but collaborates extensively with District and Branch Managers to achieve safety objectives. Travel is frequently required, up to 50% of the time, to support safety and DOT programs across branches.
Physical RequirementsStandard office-based activities with moderate travel. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during meetings and site visits. Proficiency with office equipment and effective communication skills. Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel to various branch locations up to 50%. SRS Heritage Group provides reasonable accommodations under ADA as needed.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related field.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of State, Local, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency in OSHA logs and incident report management, particularly via the Origami platform.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations with Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to facilitate and conduct operator safety training that is current and compliant.
- Strong understanding of DOT compliance issues, including CFR 49 Regulations, Hours of Service, Driver Qualification Files, Hazardous Materials Regulation, OSHA 1910.
